Choosing a course

Tally and GST course or a full accounting course: which is better?

Accounting Baba, Surat  ·  Updated 4 Nov 2026

A Tally and GST course teaches you to use the software and do basic GST work. A full accounting course teaches the whole job: entries, GST, TDS, Tally and finalising the P&L and balance sheet. If your goal is an accounts job, a full course prepares you for more of the work you will be given.

What a Tally course usually covers

A Tally course teaches you to operate the software: create a company, make ledgers, enter sales and purchase vouchers and print reports. Some courses add basic GST. This is useful, but Tally is a tool. Knowing the tool is not the same as knowing the job.

When a Tally course is enough

If you already work in accounts and only need to learn the software, a short Tally course can be enough. If you are a fresher looking for your first accounts job, the full course is the safer choice.

How our course teaches Tally

Tally ERP 9 and Tally Prime are taught as part of the course, and students practise on real company data setups, not sample data. The course runs for 55 days at our Katargam, Udhna and Kadodara branches. For a longer comparison, read Tally course vs full accounting training in Surat, or see the course page.
