If you want an accounts job soon after B.Com, choose a practical course that teaches the work you will do on the job: entries, GST, TDS, Tally and finalising accounts. Accounting Baba's AI Powered Accounting course in Surat covers all of this in 55 days, 2 hours a day, with placement support after the course.
What B.Com teaches, and what it leaves out
B.Com teaches the theory of accounting very well. But many B.Com students have never filed a GST return, entered a full year of data in Tally or finalised a balance sheet. An accounts job expects you to do these things from your first week. A practical course fills that gap.
Your main choices after B.Com
- A Tally or Tally and GST course: teaches the software. It is short, but it covers only one part of the job. See Tally and GST course or a full accounting course.
- A practical full accounting course: teaches the whole job, from journal entries to the balance sheet, with GST, TDS and Tally, plus help to find a job.
- A long professional route, such as CA, CMA or ACCA: takes several years of study. It suits you if you want a professional qualification.
Get a job now, or study CA, CMA or ACCA?
This is the real choice after B.Com, so ask yourself one question first: do you want to start earning in the next few months, or can you study for several more years?
- Start earning soon: choose a practical course. You learn the work an accounts job asks for, and you can apply for jobs after 55 days.
- Study for a qualification: CA (ICAI), CMA (ICMAI) or ACCA (ACCA) take years, not months. Each body sets its own exams, exemptions and fees, so check its website for the current route.
- Do both: you do not have to choose one for life. You can take a practical course, start working, and then study for CA, CMA, ACCA or M.Com alongside your job. Office work also makes the theory in those exams easier to follow.
