Short answer: recruitment through an agency is a paid service for the employer. At Accounting Baba the fee is one month’s salary of the candidate you hire, plus applicable taxes. AED 1,000 per job opening is paid before we start work and is adjusted against that fee. The candidate pays nothing.
No. A recruitment agency is paid by the employer, not by the candidate. If you are looking for a free way to find an accountant, a job post on LinkedIn or a referral from your network is the route to take. An agency makes sense when you want screened, interview-ready profiles in days and do not have the time to sift applications yourself.
| What you are comparing | Job board or LinkedIn post | A general recruitment agency | Accounting Baba |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who you reach | People who are looking and happen to see the post | Often people already in the agency’s database, or who answer its advert | People working at the companies you name, including your competitors |
| Screening | You do it yourself | Varies from agency to agency | Interview by our team, then a review by a chartered accountant |
| Your time | High: you read every application | Lower | Low: you see 3 to 5 profiles |
| Cost to the employer | Free or low | Paid; the fee varies | Paid: one month’s salary per hire, plus applicable taxes |
| If the hire does not work out | You start again | Depends on the agency’s terms | 90-day replacement guarantee |
If a free job post is bringing you the right people, keep using it. We are for the employer who wants a specific kind of person, usually from a specific set of companies, and wants them screened.
A job post reaches whoever happens to be looking. We work the other way round. Tell us the companies you want people from, including your competitors, and we approach candidates working there. The person you hire already knows your market, your kind of customer and the way your competitors work, which is what most employers are really looking for.
| Item | Amount | When it is paid |
|---|---|---|
| Service charge, per job opening | AED 1,000 in the UAE; USD 250 in Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait | Before we start work |
| Recruitment fee | One month’s salary (CTC) of the candidate you hire, plus applicable taxes | Final invoice when the candidate joins |
| Balance | Fee less the service charge already paid | Within 30 days of the candidate joining |
The service charge is not an extra cost. It is part of the fee and is deducted from your final invoice.
You hire an accountant in Dubai at AED 6,000 a month.
Visa sponsorship, PRO steps, medical tests, Emirates ID, flights and relocation stay with the employer. We do not handle these.
A search takes real work from the first day: sourcing, screening calls, interviews and a CA’s review of each profile. The service charge confirms that the opening is real and approved, so our team’s time goes to employers who intend to hire. It is adjusted against your fee, so you do not pay more because of it.
Our Dubai clients include Mac & Ross Chartered Accountants, Ace Patrons, GenZone, Bayshore Consulting and Finact Consultancy. We have a partner office in the UAE, and a meeting in person can be arranged on request.
Paid service: one month’s salary per hire, with AED 1,000 per opening paid upfront and adjusted against the fee.
